What We Believe
We believe in the Bible as God’s only inspired, inerrant, and authoritative revelation of Himself to man in written form., and it declares His design and plan for mankind. (2 Tim. 3:15-17, 1 Thes. 2:13, 2 Peter 1:21)
We believe in one God, eternally existing in three persons: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. (Duet. 6:4, Is. 43:10-11, Matt. 28:19, Luke 3:22, 1 Jn. 5:7)
The Deity of the Lord Jesus Christ
We believe the Lord Jesus Christ is the eternal Son of God (Jn 1:1). We believe in His virgin birth (Matt. 1:23), His sinless life (2 Cor. 5:21), His miracles (Acts 2:22), His substitutionary work on the cross (1 Cor. 15:3), His bodily resurrection from the dead (Matt. 28:6), and His exaltation to the right hand of God (1:9).
The blood of Jesus Christ, shed on the cross, provides the only way of salvation through the forgiveness of sins. Salvation occurs when people repent of sin and place their faith in the death and resurrection of Christ. Salvation is a gift from God, and it cannot be earned through our own efforts. (Rom. 10:9-13, Eph 2:8, Titus 3:5-7)
Ordinances of the Church
We believe in and practice water baptism by immersion after receiving Christ’s gift of salvation (Matt 28:19) and holy communion in remembrance of Christ’s suffering and death (1 Cor. 11:23-26).
The Gifts of the Holy Spirit
We believe in all the gifts and ministries of the Holy Spirit, and that they are relevant and available to the believer in Christ today. (1 Cor. 12:1-11, Eph. 4:11-14)
The Church is a local community of believers unified through faith in Christ. It is committed to the teachings of Christ and obeying all of His commands, and it seeks to bring the Gospel to the world. The Church works together in lave and unity, intent on the ultimate purpose of glorifying Christ. (Matt. 16:18-19)
Marriage has only one meaning: the uniting of one biological man and one biological woman in a single, exclusive union, as delineated in Scripture. We believe that God intends sexual intimacy to occur only within the confines of marriage. Because marriage is a covenant between one man, one woman, and God, the church has the responsibility, in its sole discretion, to evaluate the readiness of those seeking to enter into the marriage covenant. The church may decline to solemnize or host a marriage ceremony that is contrary to the church’s Statement of Faith or the Bible. (Gen. 1:26-28, Gen. 2:24, Heb. 13:4)
Man was created to exist forever. He will exist either eternally separated from God by sin or in union with God through forgiveness and salvation. To be eternally separated from God is Hell. To be eternally in union with God is Heaven. Heaven and Hell are places of eternal existence. (Jn. 3:16, Rom. 6:23, Rev. 20:15)
